Natural Dye Workshop
Join us for an intimate *indigo* dye workshop with textile artist Nelise Bey, inspired by traditional indigo dyeing practices and the timeless beauty of natural color. Participants will transform a set of specially prepared cotton napkins into one-of-a-kind textiles using a natural indigo vat.
During the workshop, Nelise will guide you through a range of simple folding, twisting, and binding techniques before dipping your napkins into pots of natural indigo. As the fabric emerges from the dye bath and oxidizes in the air, you'll watch it transform from green to the signature rich blue of indigo. Each piece will feature its own unique pattern, shaped by the resist techniques and dyeing process.
Designed for the creatively curious and welcoming all experience levels, this workshop celebrates handmade process, natural materials, and the artistry of slow craft.
