Thank you for visiting our site and our brand new blog! I can hardly believe a month has gone by since our launch at BKLYN DESIGNS. Starting a blog seemed like a good way to celebrate! We’ll use it to keep you up to date on what we’re up to, what we’re working on and some design ideas! But first, some thank yous.
The idea for Bolé Road Textiles lived in my head for four years before this launch and to see it come together has been surreal. It’s been an extremely exciting time and I want to thank all of my friends and family that have helped me get here!
To my parents, who are my cheerleaders and unofficial COOs and who help me coordinate with our artisans in Ethiopia, to my sister who is a master seamstress and jack of all trades and is by my side whenever I need her, my brother who was there all launch weekend and to my husband who has been supporting and encouraging me for years to pursue my dream -- thank you so very much. And special thanks to all of my family that came out to the launch and were my first clients and, of course, to all of my friends who have reviewed and re-reviewed my designs and given me feedback on my early samples.
It took village to start Bolé Road Textiles, and I am so grateful for everyone’s time and dedication.
